Uptown Westerville is a Place for Summertime Music and Coffee at Java Central

Java Central, 20 S. State, sends us this week's Music Line-up, and a look into the future:

We had an excellent Friday Open Mic last week, thanks to our emcee and regular cast, but we closed early on Saturday,4th of July so everyone could enjoy the evening with family.

Something special this Friday – Otterbein College is creating a video for incoming students showing things to do in Westerville and Uptown – and Java Central is being featured. They will be there on Friday to film a sequence on our Open Mic!

Here is the Live Music lineup for this weekend - and upcoming weeks.

Friday 7/10 - Acoustic Open Mic (7 -10 p.m.)
Our regular talented group of performers should be there to entertain, including emcee Clay, son Caleb, and friends Jim and Sean; plus Christopher Gatsby, of course, and no doubt some new voices.

Saturday 7/11 - Jazz Night! (7 – 10 p.m.)
Featuring Jeff Harper on trumpet and flugelhorn and Emma Brohardt on tenor sax. They are excellent musicians and Brit Emma ( a Westerville resident) is always fun with her accent and quips.

Upcoming:

However, the rest of July is packed with music!

Singer/songwriter John Vincent (folk rock) graces our stage again on July 18.

Then on July 25 we will have a diverse showcase of the great vocal performance students (of all ages) of Mike and Cheryl Munkascy!

On August 1 we will again feature the extremely talented Emerson Redlime and his 4 decades of pop/rock/oldies.

Join us for great coffee (we custom roast our own select beans locally), refreshing frozen drinks, fresh baked goods, local art and LIVE MUSIC (no cover).

When you are considering weekend food, drink, shopping and entertainment – Think Uptown! And Think Java Central!

A trip to Java Central for music (performances have no cover) and beverages (ahh, that Java blend coffee) and Mozart's pastries is indeed an Uptown Westerville small indulgence. Free music (always good buzz about the music), great beverages (try the iced chai on a hot summer's day), free wi-fi, and just a great place to meet some of your favorite people or relax by yourself!
