Uptown Westerville is a Place for Independence Day Traditions and Family Fun

Westerville's Fourth of July celebration is tradition and community.

Back in the 1970's a national soft drink company visited Westerville to film its Fourth of July activities for a successful, slice-of-America commercial. Step in the "Wayback Machine" and click here to visit YouTube to view the commercial.

The Rotary Club of Westerville presents the day-long celebration which includes the annual Walk, Run, and Roll (including a kids' "Fun Run"), the Parade, the community food drive benefiting W.A.R.M., entertainment featuring the Westerville Symphony, the Westerville Community Band, and oh, yes, the Fireworks!!

The theme of this year's parade is "Many Voices, One Nation." And, uptown residents Dr. William and Mary Davis will be grand marshals for the parade.

Uptown Westerville is a great destination point for a fun 4th of July! How about a stop at the Dairy Queen before, during, or after the parade! Or come uptown to shop and dine -- visit Michael's Pizza, The Old Bag of Nails Pub, and Pasquale's Pizza and Pasta for a delicious nosh or cool, refreshing beverage!

Arrive at one destination point and use the walkways and hike & bike trails to move between Uptown Westerville and Alum Creek Park (north and south) on wheels or heels!

Look for special July 4th Uptown Farmers' Market hours to be announced!
