Uptown Westerville is a Place to Honor and Enjoy the Holidays

HOLIDAY BENEFIT CONCERT TO FUND HONOR FLIGHT

Concert featuring regional artists set for Sunday, December 27th

WESTERVILLE, OH – The Westerville Community, including the City, schools, citizens, businesses, service clubs and others, will host a Holiday Concert to benefit Honor Flight Columbus on Sunday December 27, 2009 at 2 p.m. at Cowan Hall at Otterbein College.

Proceeds from the event will benefit the next (2010) community-sponsored “Honor Flight,” a program honoring veterans of World War II with a guided tour of the National World War II monument in Washington, D.C. WCMH-TV anchor Cabot Rea will host and perform in the variety show featuring Columbus’ own Otoniel “Tony” Gonzaga, a world-renowned tenor who has graced both American and European stages. Gonzaga will perform popular hits of the WW II era and holiday favorites. Granville piano prodigy, six-year-old Gavin George, also appears on the program. In addition, The Continental Band will play favorite swing music from the era of “The Greatest Generation.”

General admission tickets are $20; $10 for senior citizens (65 and older) and students (12 and younger).

As with all Honor Flight activities, WW II veterans are admitted free of charge.
