Dear Friends of Meza,
Summer is in full swing! We have greatly been enjoying all of the June wine tasting events, and are excited about what July has to offer!
Our next event date has changed due to Red, White and Boom in downtown Columbus. The 'Best of the US' wine tasting will be held on Thursday, July 2 from 6:30 - 9 pm at Meza! For those of you who love California Cabs, this will be a real treat. We will be tasting the current vintage of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon - an exceptional example of the best that Napa Valley has to offer!
We also have received several recommendations for wines from Traverse City, Michigan. This area is abundant with wineries and we have had several customers tell us about their wonderful experiences there! We will be tasting a late harvest Riesling from the Chateau Grand Traverse winery at the 'Best of the US' event!
Meza Launching its "Women in Wine" Series
For so long, the wine world has seemingly been dominated by men but today it seems that women are taking on new roles within this industry. In fact, women are making inroads into all aspects of the wine industry and are becoming winery owners, sommoliers, educators, and managers.
At Meza we are great supporters of female enterpreneurs and want to celebrate some of the award winning female wine makers in this industry! Each month we will feature a wine made by a top notch female winemaker and share with you their background and most imortantly, their wines!

Cost of the tasting is $10 per person for 5 wines and light tapas!

Affordable Pinot Noirs - Friday, August 7 (6:30 - 9:00 pm)
Pinot Noir may be the toughest grape to grow, but the effort is well worth the investment. Pinot Noirs forerunner and modest inspiration hails from red Burgundy, one of Frances most prized wines. Today, Pinot Noir is planted in regions around the world including Oregon, California, New Zealand, Chile and Italy. Join us in tasting some affordable and exciting Pinot Noirs from around the globe!

Vito's Favorite Vinos - Friday, August 14 (6:30 - 9:00 pm)
Vito is my dad and today happens to be his birthday!
Much of my appreciation for wine came from growing up learning about wine through my dad and watching him make his own wine with my grandfather. He is also much of the reason that Meza is here today! Vito likes big bold reds and full bodied whites. So we will be pouring wines that he would be proud to add to his own wine cellar in honor of his birthday! This is a celebration of family as much as it is of great wine! So grab some friends - bring your dad - and come enjoy some wines with us!
