Java Central, 20 S. State, has free entertainment this weekend, including Fourth Friday.
Adel & Diane Shadi and Ralph & Jane Denick of Java Central tell us:
This is 4th Friday week and this one should be great! The theme is World Bazaar and the international flavor can be heard in all the music – “Seen Tru” reggae band at City Hall, the Irish Duo of Phil Franck and Doug Rudy (of Yankee Celtic Consort) at the North Market Stage, and Tim O’Connor (who has played Java Central ) will sing Irish and Spanish selections at the Gazebo on East College. Thank the Arts Council and Visitor’s Bureau for all of this. If you haven’t experienced it yet, treat yourself on Friday to one of the signature events in Central Ohio.
Here is the Live Music lineup for this weekend - and beyond:
Friday 7/24 - Acoustic Open Mic (7 p.m. - 10 p.m.) Emcee Clay Justice, son Caleb, and friends Jim and Sean will give us a great night of music indoors too!
Saturday 7/25 - The Munkascy Showcase (7 p.m. – 10 p.m.) Mike and Cheryl Munkascy are professional performers who have been training music and stage performers at their Westerville Center for the Arts for years, including contestants on American Idol, Star Search (a Grand Winner), Miss Ohio and other events. They will showcase their talented students (of all ages) for us on Saturday.
Upcoming: On Aug 1 we will again feature the extremely talented Emerson Redlime and his 4 decades of pop/rock/oldies. He is one of the best musicians around, with great knowledge (and banter) about the songs he performs.
Join us for our great unique coffee (we custom roast our own select beans locally), refreshing frozen drinks, fresh baked goods, wonderful handmade jewelry and gifts (including Vera Bradley bags), local art displays (all for sale) and Live Music (no cover).
When you are considering food, drink, shopping and entertainment – Think Uptown! and Think Java Central!
