Uptown Westerville is a Place to Celebrate the Arts

Make this weekend a continuous celebration of the arts!

July 14th and 15th is the 34th Annual Music and Arts Festival at Heritage Park (W. Main & Cleveland).

Festival hours are Saturday from 11 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m. The festival is presented by WUMA member, the Westerville Area Chamber of Commerce.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a beautiful weekend!

This year's event features ceramics, mixed media, wood, glass, photography, jewelry, metal works, paintings, sculpture, acrylic, graphics, dolls, sculpture, basketry, stone, drawings and woodcuts, and heritage crafts including candles, woodworking, weaving, soap, porcelain, and leather.

The Youth Art Exhibit is always a must-see with more than 100 artists from ages 3 years to 18 years.

Live music performances span the spectrum including jazz, ragtime, folk, acoustic, rock, funk, soul, and blue grass from artists like Arnett Howard, John Schwab, Donna Mogavero and Chief Jonny Lonesome.

Kids can enjoy art interactive as they participate in activities like storytelling, sculpture building, magic, music, and juggling. Kids' activities are sponsored by WUMA's own Gallery 202.

Ah, and what is a festival without food?! Brats, BBQ, Fish 'n' Chips, Ice Cream, and more! Visit Westerville's own Sertoma and Fire Association booths. WUMA member Old Bag of Nails Pub will be there, too!
